Twin Peaks: Season 1:5-8 - What Exactly Am I Watching Here?

Welcome back to another episode of What Exactly Am I Watching Here? Today Jason Helms continues his walk with Dominic Laing down the long, strange, but meaningful road of Twin Peaks, as they finish out the second half of season one. 
After some initial reactions and overall season one recaps, they jump into episode 4 "The One Armed Man" (5:45), hit up episode 5 "Cooper's Dreams" (11:00), then episode 6 "Realization Time" (16:30), episode 7 "The Last Evening" (23:20), and then they finish the season with a discussion of the season 1 finale as well as a few predictions (39:30). Finally, they end the episode talking about a few specific characters and themes that stood out to them throughout the season (35:00).

Twin Peaks: Season 1:1-4 - What Exactly Am I Watching Here?

Welcome back to The Overthink Podcast Network! Today we bring you a brand new show: What Exactly Am I Watching Here? --a show that puts an expert and a noob together in a room to talk about a specific show. For their first series, Jason Helms and Dominic Laing are diving deep into Twin Peaks. Jason has seen TP many times, and Dom is just watching it now for the first time. Join them as they break down plot points, overall themes, different character structures, and David Lynch's unique sense of style throughout the show. (New episodes every two weeks.)
After some quick introductions and high level ideas, they start getting into the weeds and talk about the pilot "Northwest Passage" (13:40), and then they confusingly then get into episode 1 "Traces to Nowhere" after that (28:30). They then discuss episode 2 "Zen, or the Skill to Catch a Killer" (33:45), and of course, episode 3 "Rest in Pain" (53:30). They end things talking about a few specific characters and themes they've been following throughout the show thus far (63:45).
